| Over
100 years ago the richest man in America, John D. Rockefeller, said: |
|
 |
|
| "The
ability to deal with people is as purchasable a commodity as coffee and sugar.
And I will pay more for that ability than any other under the sun!" |
|
|
 |
| The prestigious Carnegie
Institute has recently reported that Rockefeller's insights will most likely have
even greater significance in the future. |

Stress
management:
The first thing to understand about stress is that it is not
a problem. Stress is simply the body's nonspecific responses
to demands made upon it. Stress can be as simple as shivering
when we are cold, and that is a good thing, because shivering
helps us survive. Distress is a different matter, and that is
what we want to address. Although it may have short-term benefits,
distress over protracted periods becomes a serious problem.
Besides being potentially deadly, distress reduces productivity
by increasing sick time, generating conflicts, and raising errors
rates. In our seminars, we provide insights into the symptoms
of approaching distress. We disseminate practical techniques
for reducing its negative effects, and we provide guidance into
simple life-style adjustments that will prevent the frequent
occurrence of distress into your employee's lives. |
